Ted Lynn Stanley

Mr. Ted Lynn Stanley, age 86, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Central Continuing Care, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 30, 1940, in Surry County, to the late Irvin Stanley and the late Ina Key Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Ann Doby Stanley. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Lea Ann and Travis “T.J.” McCraw; his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Beth Stanley; grandchildren, Travis McCraw Jr., Taylor Love, Jackson Stanley, Bella Stanley, and Justice Stanley; sisters, Imogene Wilmoth (Michael) and Sandra White . He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Elsie Stanley and Rachel Riddle; and his brother, Mickey Stanley; and his brother-in-law, Herbert White. Mr. Stanley was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a also a faithful member of Double Creek Church of Christ and worked in telecommunications before his retirement. Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Double Creek Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. A funeral service celebrating his life will begin at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Pastor John Elmore and Pastor Travis “T.J.” McCraw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, C/O Joyce Hardy, 674, Double Creek Road, Dobson NC 27017.
