Teresa I. Washburn

Teresa Isley Washburn, 63, of Ridgeway, Va. passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023. She was born in Martinsville, Va. April 2, 1959 to Harold G. Isley and Faye N. Isley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lester Isley and Essie H. Isley; and her maternal grandparents, Rufus Nichols and Elress S. Nichols.

Teresa was a 1977 graduate of Drewry Mason High School. She retired from Fidelity Bank in 2022 after 44 years of service. Teresa loved the Lord and was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church.

She is survived by her best friend and husband of over 43 years, Bobby R. Washburn; brothers-in-law, Danny Washburn (Cindy), C.A. Washburn (Sheree); sister-in-law, Sandra Holmes (Eddie); many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be sent to the Horsepasture Christian Church, 1146 Horsepasture Price Rd., Ridgeway, VA. 24148; the SPCA of Martinsville and Henry County, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy., Martinsville, VA. 24112; or to the Friendly Bunch Ham Radio group, C/O Robert (Bob) L. Golisek, 6416 Meadow Rue Drive, Norcross, GA. 30092.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Horsepasture Christian Church. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm and will be officiated by Reverend Dave Cuthbertson and Kyle Thompson. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
