Terrill “Terry” Dwayne Foley 52, Bassett VA passed away July 10, 2026 peacefully in his sleep. Born December 22, 1973 to Teresa Foley and Donald Amos.
He was proceeded in death by Teresa Foley Spencer (Mother), Pam Amos (Step-Mother) Steve Spencer (Step-Father),Michelle English (Sister), Justin Amos (Brother) Junior & Christine Foley; Oakley & Frances Amos; Harold & Lucille Spencer (Grandparents)
Survived by his father Donald Amos, Sister Angie Triplett Howell, Niece Mya Nephew Levi. Adopted sister Leatha Fretwell
His Children Brayden Foley, Morgan Foley, Jordan Foley, Jeremy Hall and Austin Foley. His Grandchildren Hinata & Roslyn
Known as Bernie to Tucker and Dawson the special boys in his heart.
His Best friend & Companion Jennifer Poff. Who he shared a true love story that she will cherish forever. Jennifer Foley was his person of reason & closest friend. Several aunts and uncles. Many friends that held true brotherhood bonds.
Terry lived life to the fullest and full throttle. He was an adventurous soul with a heart of gold, Terry spent his days helping others & making memories that will be cherished forever.
He will always be remembered as a total bada$$.
When he wasn’t holding others accountable for their actions, you could find him fishing, camping, water skiing, or snow skiing – always pursuing his next adrenaline rush. His need for speed was insatiable, whether on two wheels or four, motorcycles and hot rods brought him unbridled joy.
But above all, Terry’s love for his family knew no bounds – especially when it came to his children and grandchildren Their smiles were his sunshine, their laughter his melody. His love was stern but was pure & he always pushed you to the limits to find the best version of yourself and believing in you even when you came up short. His previous marriages or relationships didn’t end with hate he made sure to remain a life friend and there if needed. He had his own way of accomplishing things, unique style to survival and fixing things that you never understood how it worked but just knew it did. Some didn’t understand him but very few had a negative thing to say. He was unique and made huge impacts on so many lives. His smile and laughter was unforgettable. His morals, values, his word and most importantly his loyalty is what made him a true legend.
Terry may be gone, but his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched but there will never be another like him.
Cremation will be handled by Bassett Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Monetary donations appreciated for service expenses and can be made directly to Bassett Funeral Home
