Terry Gene Berthold

Terry G. Berthold, 80, of Troutville, passed away, Sunday, May 19, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Marian Berthold.

Terry is survived by his wife Jeanette Berthold; son, Todd Berthold and wife Jill; brother, Thomas Berthold and wife Jan; niece and nephew, Tim Berthold and wife Luciana and their children, Allie Marie Smith and husband Paul; stepdaughters, Sheila Janney, and Tina Allison and husband David; grandson, J.V. Allison and wife Ruby and their children. Special friends Marty Herndon and George Millard. As well as numerous friends who he loved dearly.

Terry was born and raised in Illinois before moving to Virginia. Terry was an award-winning kitchen and bath cabinet designer of many local homes, across the U.S. and Canada. He was also a long-time supporter of Virginia Tech Athletics and loved all sports, especially football, and he proudly served the U.S. Army.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Terry’s name to the SPCA or your local animal rescue. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5-7 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. (540)366-0707.
