Terry Ray Anderson

Terry Ray Anderson, 67, of Danville, Virginia, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, while returning home from a job he loved. He was born June 23, 1955, in Martinsville, to the late Ray M. Anderson and his surviving mother, E. Carol Anderson. He proudly worked as a truck driver for nearly forty years. He was currently employed by Thompson Trucking Co. where he was respected and admired by everyone there. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his son and friends, woodworking, storytelling, and his home with his loving wife and pets. He especially loved his family and friends, and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his infant son, Bradley Ray Anderson. He is survived by his mother, E. Carol Anderson, of Sunset, S.C.; his wife, Renee Freeman Anderson of Danville; son, Stewart Ray Anderson of Martinsville; brother, Ron Anderson; sister-in-law, Mary Anderson of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Kathy Anderson; and sister-in-law, Beth Hingsbergen of Sunset, S.C. The memorial service will be Sunday, September 25, 2022, 12:00 noon, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Big Hank Collins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the local SPCA at 132 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
