Theodore Whitt

Theodore (Ted) J. Whitt of Roanoke, Virginia passed away at the age of 96 Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was born on June 9, 1928, the third oldest of twelve children that were raised at his father’s store, “TJ Whitt and Son” in Botetourt County. Ted loved baseball and played at Jefferson High School in Roanoke and for several County teams including Webster Brick. Ted was a very patriotic man and a Veteran of both the US Army and Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman and worked as an Advertising Manager for The Roanoke Times for 47 years. He was a devoted father and loving husband to his wife Dorothy Francisco (Dottie). He is preceded in death by his wife and parents, Thomas Jefferson Whitt and Vaughnie Rae Whitt and several siblings. Ted is survived by his sons, Jermey Whitt and his wife Debra, Greg Whitt and his wife Patricia and grandchildren, Caleb Miller, Kristin Miller, Ethan Whitt, Benjamin Whitt, Elias Whitt.
