Therese Anne Stokes

Therese Anne Stokes, 62, of Roanoke, passed away and has rejoined loved ones gone before on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
She was born on October 8, 1960, in Norfolk, Va., to the late Clifton Hugh and Pearl Anderson Stokes.

Ms. Stokes was a very creative person. She was a skilled writer and an amazing photographer, capturing beautiful memories during her life. In her early years, Therese enjoyed playing roles in local plays and her voice captured her audience when she sang. She loved her family, especially her beloved cat, Bailey, who passed away in recent weeks. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.

Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her sister, Anna Stokes Bruce (David); brother, Paul Thomas Stokes; and her niece, Sabrina Bruce (Laura).

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. ~Amen~

A funeral Mass to honor Therese’s memory will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at noon with Father Chris Masla officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, in Salem.
