Thomas D. Daveldek
Tom Daveldek, 72, of Troutville, VA, passed away surrounded by his family at Roanoke
Memorial Hospital on September 22, 2024.
Tommy, formerly of Budd Lake, NJ, is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Nancy, his children:
Kelly Peters and her husband Mikael, of Martinsville, VA, T.J of Roanoke, VA, Casey of
Richmond, VA; his loyal pup pup, Maximus and his sister, Judy Leonardis of Whippany, NJ. He
is predeceased by his father Stephen, his mother Marion, and his two brothers Dennis and
Steve.
Tommy was born in Newark, NJ and graduated from Bloomfield Tech in 1969. In the same year,
he was hired by Bell Atlantic, where he spent 31 dedicated years as a cable splicer. Tommy was
an avid fan of The New York Rangers, The New York Yankees, and of course, The New York
Giants. He was a talented athlete in his youth and later enjoyed coaching his children in softball
and baseball.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their
favorite charity in Tommy’s honor. A private Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
