Thomas "Tommy" Douglas Bryant

Thomas “Tommy” Douglas Bryant, 78, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024. Tommy was born on June 29, 1945 in Danville, VA to the late Louise Neal Bryant and the late Landon Ambrose Bryant Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Judy Snead Bryant.

Tommy was of the Christian faith and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, but in later years attended Chestnut Level Baptist Church. He was a loving family man, that cared very deeply for his family. He worked for many years at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company previous to his retirement. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Tommy had a special love for classic cars and was an active member in the Virginia-Carolina Classic Chevy Club for many years.

In addition to his wife, Tommy is survived by two daughters; Angela Blackburn and husband Victor of Summerfield, NC, and Stephanie Lynn Bryant of the residence; two grandchildren; Kristina B. Perkins and husband Robbie, and William D. Blackburn; and also many numerous close friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was predeceased by two brothers; Landon A. Bryant and Wallace Dean Bryant.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1:00pm at Chestnut Level Baptist Church, 6940 Spring Garden Road, Blairs, VA 24527 with Pastor Zach Hyler officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day from 11:00am to 1:00pm also at Chestnut Level Baptist Church. The family respectfully requests that anyone wishing to come visit them please do so by attending the visitation at the church prior to the service.
