Timothy David Maxey

Timothy David Maxey, 64, passed away on June 27, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1961.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, John Dillon Maxey, Sr.; and his brothers, John "Butch" Dillon Maxey, Jr. and Edward "Eddie" Wilton Maxey, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Frances Maxey Dillon; his sister Darlene Griffin (Randy); his nieces, Melissa Conner (Sam Weddle), and Angie Ramsey; his nephews, Bruce Maxey and Wilton Maxey (Tricia); his great-nieces and nephews; Dillon Bryant, Courtney Gibson (John), Jessica Cockran (Chris), Emily Maxey, Claire Maxey, Larna Gieseking, Katie Ramsey, and Seth Ramsey; his great-great-nieces and nephews, Gwin Bryant, Colton Gibson, Ariana Cockran, Drake Cockran, Rose Gieseking, and Stella Gieseking; his special cousin, Eugene Maxey (Vicky); his special friends, Bobby Wood and Ronald May; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

Timothy was an outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing. He was an avid carpenter who took pride in his craftsmanship and especially enjoyed passing his knowledge of the trade on to his family. He also loved playing guitar and singing, carrying on a passion he shared with his father. Although he had no children of his own, Timothy dearly loved his nieces and nephews and was an active and constant presence in their lives. His kindness, wisdom, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be help Friday, July 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lots Funeral Home in Salem, with a chapel service beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
