Timothy Edward Gammons

Timothy Edward Gammons, 55, of Martinsville, VA, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1968, to the late Harold Edward Gammons and Margaret Ann Haynes who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sallie Haynes.

Tim was a member of Fort Trail Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was known for killing the biggest buck in 2004 State Record. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially spoiling his nieces and “Smokey” his fur child.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Todd A. Gammons (Cindi); nephew, Joshua Reeves; nieces, Paydence Gammons and Kaydence Gammons; best friends, Tim Greer and Wes Johnson; and a host of other family and friends.

He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 12 Noon at Bassett Funeral Service chapel with Minister Daniel Reed officiating. Burial will be at Henry Memorial Park immediately following the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
