Timothy Mitchell Myers

October 15, 1963 - June 27, 2026

Timothy M. Myers, 62, of Vinton passed away on June 27, 2026. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mullins.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Myers; sons, Timmy Myers, Cameron Myers (Jess); stepfather, Charles Mullins.

Even with no formal education, Tim succeeded at several career paths. He began working at Hardee's at the age of 15 and became a store manager before his 18th birthday. He followed that pathway to the corporate side, where he was able to work on projects such as the Gremlins, California Raisins, and even the chili they still carry. He then took that experience to Steakout, where he served as the VP of marketing for several years. He later returned to Virginia to be closer to his mom and step father, where he took up a position in Walmart management. Ultimately, he chose to leave his job to care for his mother and her many battles with cancer.

While his career was important to him, it was not all that defined him. Tim had a love for cooking his entire life. He had a talent of making delicious meals from whatever he could find in the fridge. Cooking was just one of the many ways he chose to serve others. Whether it was buying groceries, paying rent, or something as simple as remembering the dates that some had forgotten, he spent a lot of time figuring out how to improve the lives of others. He spent much of his later life assisting those that needed help and would never settle with doing the bare minimum. He was a die-hard UVA fan, if wasn't able to watch an event, you can guarantee it was playing on his radio. If there was no UVA event to be found there would be music in the background. We hope he has found the peace he provided for so many others and know his mother is happy to have him back.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
