Tina Theresa King
Tina Theresa King, age 57, of Martinsville, Virginia, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at her residence. She was born on November 28, 1968, in Washington, D.C., Tina was the cherished daughter of the late Michael Steven King and Denise Darcell Williams Thomas.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Georgianna Clark, Ernestine King, and Trina Mae Ross; one aunt, Jenny L. Scales; three uncles, Andre King, Stanley Williams, and Michael B. Williams; and one brother, Michael A. Williams.
Tina was a member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church. She graduated from Patrick & Henry Community College. Tina found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved listening to music, spending time with her family and friends, and caring for children. Her nurturing spirit, warm smile, and compassionate heart touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her three daughters, Tamara (Akeem) Green of New York, Tiffany Fuller of Martinsville, Virginia, and Zairea P. Hairston, of the home; two grandchildren, Kalel Fuller and Chase M. Green; six sisters: Kamica A. Taylor of Martinsville, Virginia; Darla Enriquez of New York; Felicia Dawn Hairston and Pam Turner, both of Martinsville, Virginia; Lenore (Jeff) Hairston of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Sherrika Martin of Martinsville, Virginia; step brothers, Reggie Thomas, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; John Oulds of Martinsville, Virginia; Corey Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Darnell (Denise) Cabiness of Greensboro, North Carolina. She was also blessed with three great-nieces, seven nephews, four great-nephews; her aunts, Mother Denise (Reginald) Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina, Roberta Mumford of Miami, Florida, Georgia A. Williams, and Wanda (Darryl) Douglas of Washington, D.C.; her uncle, Lenard King, Sr. of Washington, D.C.; along with other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Shiloh Way of the Cross Church, at 12:30 PM. The interment will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. A floating visitation will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel.
