Vera Unroe

Vera Inez Unroe, age 73, of 440 Lipsey Lane, Low Moor, Virginia died on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the home of her son in Covington, Virginia.
Vera was born on November 25, 1950 in Low Moor to the late Charles Jackson Unroe and Rudy Hazel Dawe Unroe. She served in the United States Army and was a cashier for Save-A-Lot. Vera loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Bo” Unroe and a sister, Kay Roberts.
She is survived by her son, Michael Snook and wife Sheena of Covington; two sisters, Patsy Hyler of Low Moor and Cindy Reed of Clifton Forge; three grandchildren, Jessey Craft, Darren Chambers, and Parker Chambers; a number of nieces and nephews; and two great nieces.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Mike Fisher officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Friends may call anytime during business hours at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
