Virginia Ann Dillon

Virginia Ann Dillon, 68, transitioned from her earthly life Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Roanoke, Virginia. She was born in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Edgar Gammons and Mattie Earles Gammons on July 28, 1956.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Dillon; and grandson, Brandon.

Virginia enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a fan of Chase Elliott. She loved making trips to the beach and the mountains. She was particularly fond of spending time at Dollywood.

Those left to cherish Virginia’s memory are her husband, Roger Lee Dillon; daughter, Tammy Lynn Dillon; sisters, Carolyn Sowder, Linda Preventa; brother, Jeffery Gammons; sisters-in-law, Peggy Jones, Dot Dillon; five granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at Wright Funeral Service from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Patrick Memorial Gardens in Stuart, Virginia, with Pastor A.C. Palmer officiating.
