Virginia Eva Greenway

Virginia Eva Greenway, better known as “Jenny” or “Gigi”, 88, of Ferrum, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024. She was born January 15, 1936, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Jesse James Greenway and her mother.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons; many siblings; grandparents; and numerous other family members and friends.Jenny was a member of The Callaway Church of God. Gigi courageously fought a long battle with dementia, with the help of her loved ones. She was known as a very loving person, always wanting to help someone, or let someone know how much they were loved and cared for. She had an amazing sense of humor and the ability to make anyone laugh.She is survived by son, Dennis Greenway, Sr. (Desiree Turner); grandchildren, Dennis Greenway, Jr. (Amanda Greenway), Jennifer Greenway Brown (Joey Brown), April Turner, Cheyenne Greenway, and Zachary Greenway; great grandchildren, Joseph Elliott and Willow Brown; as well as special great nephews and nieces.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
