Walter Ronald Wright

Walter Wright, 74, of Callands, Virginia, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was born December 7, 1948, in Pittsylvania County, to the late Eugene Oswald Wright and Mary Lucy Creasy Wright.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers John Lewis Wright and Vasper Lee Wright.Walter served in the U.S Army in South Korea. He has been a member of the County Line Church of Christ since 1959. Walter loved to fish, teach karate, and loved animals.He is survived by his sisters, Janice Hankins and Betty Cross; brother, Donald Wright; several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.The funeral will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM at County Line Church of Christ, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, Virginia 24054, with Minister Tim Maness officiating.
