Wanda Kay Davis
Wanda Kay Green Davis, 68, of Goode, VA passed peacefully on April 27, 2026.
She was born on July 6, 1957 in Waukegan, IL to James Randall Green and Mary Ellen Mills Green. Wanda was known for her love for Jesus and her family.
She worked as a Registered Nurse and was deeply committed to her career. She retired in 2018 from Centra Health after 35 years in many roles, caring for others.
Wanda is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Larry Davis, along with their three children, Mike (Shelby), Mark (Mandy), and Melanie (Justin). Her grandchildren brought her the utmost joy - Madison (Reggie), Ross (Caroline), Colby (Emma), Abby (Jacob), Blake, Brayden, Cayla, Rylee, and Taylor, as well as great-granddaughter Le’Auna and a great-grandson on the way. She is also survived by her brothers, Randy (Jan) and Rodney (Cindy), along with many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Randall and Mary Green and her father and mother-in-law, Harmon and Janet Davis, who always made her feel like a daughter.
Her family would like to extend gratitude to Heartland Hospice, who provided outstanding and compassionate care in her final weeks.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Gary Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
