Wayne Wright Jefferson

Mr. Wayne Wright Jefferson, age 81 of Mount Airy, passed away at his home Sunday morning September 1, 2024. He was born in Surry County on September 21, 1942, to the late Roscoe Jackson Jefferson, Sr. and Irene Mae Reynolds Jefferson. Wayne worked at Renfro Corporation for 12 years and Boston Knitting for 19 years. He also loved to work on lawnmowers. Surviving are his wife of 27 Pamela Kay Woods Jefferson of the home; and several other family and friends. Graveside services will be held on Thursday September 5, 2024, at 11:00am in the Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 9:30 – 10:30am. Memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017. Mrs. Jefferson would like to give a big thank you to all of the caregivers who assisted her with all of Wayne’s care throughout the years. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
