Wendy Scearce Flinchum

Wendy Scearce Flinchum, 67, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 24, 2025, surrounded by her family. Wendy was born in Danville, VA on August 1, 1957 to the late Annie Mae Patterson Scearce and the late Wilbert Scearce. She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Wesley Douglas Flinchum.

Wendy was of the Christian Faith. She was a Homemaker, who had a special love for flowers and dogs.

In addition to her husband, Wendy is survived by two sons; Bradley Flinchum (Stephanie) of Virgilina, VA, and Michael Ray Dodd (Melanie) of Dry Fork, VA; two brothers; Buster Scearce and Tom Scearce (Rhonda); two sisters; Susan Meadows and her twin sister Wanda Ingram (Randy); two grandchildren; Madison Dodd and Mason Dodd; special pet dogs; Goose and Tails; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wendy was predeceased by a daughter; Katie Flinchum.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Tunstall Fire and Rescue, 740 Tunstall High Road, Dry Fork, VA 24549.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 2:00pm, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA, with Pastor Tom Blair officiating. A visitation will be held on the same day, prior to the service from 1-2:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. At other times, the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
