William A. Martin

William A. Martin, 80, of Chilhowie, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Valley Nursing Home in Chilhowie. He was born February 28, 1943 in Martinsville, to the late James Early Martin and Ida B. Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Martin, Mae Martin and Jean Martin; and brothers, James Martin and Joseph Martin.He was a graduate of Albert Harris High School, was of the Baptist faith, and had proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had been employed by V. C Trucking and Tultex.William is survived by his wife, Lillie Penn Martin; daughter, Latania E. Cook (Stalling); son, Andre Martin (Maranda); sister, Annie Martin; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
