William Atchless Taylor

William Atchless “Billy” or “Gorp” Taylor, age 73, of 1710 Main Street Apartments, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at his residence.
Billy was born on June 11, 1950 in Clifton Forge to the late William Snydor Taylor and Opal Beatrice Long Taylor. He served in the United States Air Force, and was a resident of Clifton Forge throughout his life. He was retired as co-owner and co-manager of W. S. Taylor Heating and Appliance.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher W. Taylor, and by his dog “Lucky”.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Darlene Mason Taylor; a first cousin, Nancy Penny Stone of Clifton Forge; and special friends, Debbie Morrison, Vickie Meadows, Debbie Richmond, and Melissa Downey.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
