William Harvey Kirk

William Harvey Kirk, age 77 of Pembroke, Virginia departed this life on March 31, 2024 in the care of Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia. Born in Giles County on April 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Jim Henry and Katherine Snider Kirk. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Kirk.

He retired from Marshall Concrete; and was a member of the Pembroke Fire Department and the Giles Rescue Squad for many years.

Harvey could be found sitting in his truck at the Pembroke Fire Department, everyday reading. He enjoyed all the people who would stop by and talk to him.

Left to cherish his memories are his brother Richard Kirk (Brenda) of Pembroke, Virginia; a niece, Christie Kirk of Pembroke, Virginia; and nephew, David Kirk (Sarah) of Mechanicsville, Virginia.

There will be no service at this time as it was his wish to be cremated. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pembroke Volunteer Fire Department (101 Cascade Drive Pembroke, VA 24136).
