William Herman Marshall
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. William Herman Marshall. He joined his Lord and Savior, his late wife, Joyce Gunnell Marshall and late parents, Gladys Tuck Marshall and John Washington Marshall on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Mountain Valley Hospice, Yadkinville, NC.
Mr. Marshall, 75, was born on July 22, 1950, and was a Christian and long-time member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Danville. He retired after many years from the maintenance department of Corning Glass of Danville and proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Alan Marshall and his wife April, his daughter, Lisa Jones, and her husband Ray, granddaughters, Kayla and Khloe Jones and grandsons, Landon and Grayson Hardy. He is also survived by sisters, Joyce Snead and Barbara Arruda.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Mt. Hermon Chapel with Reverend Myron Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. American Legion Post 1097 of Danville will provide Military Honors for Mr. Marshall. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends and family at Mr. Marshall’s residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorial donations be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 1810 N. Main St., Danville, VA 24540.
