William "Keith" Puckett

Mr. William “Keith” Puckett, age 73, of Fancy Gap, Virginia, passed away at his residence Tuesday evening, April 14, 2026. Mr. Puckett was born in Carroll County on October 1, 1952, to the late Arnold Ralph Puckett and Bertha Mae Hall Thomas. Keith as known by many was a career truck driver, even known by his CB handle “Copperhead”. In his past time, he loved fishing, watching westerns, and caring for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Heidi Puckett; daughter, Colleen Puckett; sons and daughter-in-law, Charlie Puckett (Deborah), Eric Puckett; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Rebecca Puckett Johnson, Robin Tesh (Tim); brothers, Charles Puckett, Lee Puckett; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his daughter, Callie Puckett; daughter-in-law, Treva Puckett; brother, Donald Puckett. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the funeral home.
