William Leon Arden

William Leon Arden, Sr., 89, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He was born May 5, 1934, in Saltville, Virginia, to the late Samuel Benny Crawford and Lottie Evelyn Goins Crawford.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Hankins and Bessie Bandcroft; and brother, Billy Arden.William proudly served in the United Sates Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Baptist faith. He loved woodworking and making bird houses. He enjoyed watching football, especially watching Kirk Cousins play, and he loved watching the soap operas daily.He is survived by his wife Dana Louise Vernon Arden; daughters, Patricia Hunt and Deborah Meanor; sons William Arden, Jr. and Robert Arden; sisters, Joan Clark, Cecila Allen (David), and Claudet; brother, Billy Arden; grandchildren, Daniel Meanor, Kimberly Meanor, and Jaedyn Arden, four great grandchildren.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
