William Lonnie Stoneman

William Lonnie Stoneman, 76, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born in Fancy Gap, Virginia, on June 7, 1947, to the late William Harden Stoneman and Margie Lucy Bevil Stoneman.

William served as field artillery in the Army National Guard for six years. He worked in the lumber industry throughout his life. He was of Baptist Faith. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends.

William is survived by his wife, of 31 years, Dianne Stoneman; one son, William Scott Stoneman (Amy); a stepdaughter, Kimberly Bean; one brother, Larry Stoneman (Phyllis); five grandchildren, Aubrie Stoneman, James Bean, Sonni Felts, Sarah Bean, and JT Bean; several great-grandchildren; one niece, April Haynes (Joe); and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM, at Bassett Funeral Service, with Pastor Chad Hall officiating. The family will accept friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow at Blackberry Baptist Church.
