William "Mr. Bill" Roland Boyce

William Roland "Mr. Bill" Boyce, Sr. age 85 of Wirtz passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at his home. He was born on May 8, 1939, a son of the late William and Anne Johnson Boyce and was also preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Boyce.Mr. Boyce was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having served from August 20, 1957, to August 19, 1963. He retired from TWA Airlines as a Gate Agent with over 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement, he worked at the Old Kingery Store for approximately 10 years where he was known to the patrons and customers as "Mr. Bill". He will be missed by everyone.He is survived by his sons, William R. Boyce, Jr., and Daniel K. Boyce; his grandchildren, Wyatt Boyce, Jason Boyce, Kristine Boyce Sandy, Gray X. Boyce (Kayla) and Jessica K. Boyce; and his great-grandchildren, Kenley, Kohen, Riley, Sara and Scarlet.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made in his name to: Tunnel to Towers Foundation, T2T.org as he supported this worthy cause and it was very dear to him.A celebration of Mr. Boyce's life will be held 6 PM Monday, June 3, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Crematory. 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
