William R. Young

William R. “Bill” Young, age 93 of Collinsville, VA , passed away on December 31, 2022. Mr. Young was born on April 15, 1929 in Henry County, VA to Guy Hillon Young and Eva Mason Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Dove Young. Bill served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired banker, active member in Rotary Club for many years and retired member of the Rangeley Ruritan Club. He enjoyed neighborhood activities, golfing, fishing and hunting, but most of all he was devoted to his wife, daughter and grandsons. He was a member of Fieldale United Methodist Church. Mr. Young is survived by his daughter, Debra Bradshaw (Barclay), two grandsons, Matthew Hylton and Clay Bradshaw(Lydia). A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, Virginia from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Roselawn Burial Park. .Covid Protocol is requested.
