Willie Cadell Branscome

Willie Cadell Branscome, 82, of Axton, VA passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. He was born on February 10, 1942, in Carroll County, VA to the late Willie Emmett Branscome and Clara Cecil Moles Branscome. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Clinton Branscome, Waitman Branscome, Bryan Branscome, Roby Branscome, Roger Branscome; sisters, Estelle Howell, Pauleda Yeatts, Almeda Branscome, Dot Adkins, Alene Wilson and step-son Clifford Brown.

Mr. Branscome served in the United States Army and retired from E.I. DuPont. He was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church and was a former volunteer fireman with the Ridgeway Fire Department. Willie was a member of the R.C. Club.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Clements Branscome; his daughter, Karen Branscome; two sons, Kenneth Branscome (Jana) and Keith Branscome (Melissa); step-daughter, Gayle Adcock (Kevin); sister, Betty Branscome; grandchildren, Amanda Patel (Raj), Rachel Fitzgerald (Daniel), Mikaila Anderson (Zach), Elizabeth Branscome, Kaleb Branscome, Kenzi Branscome, Klarissa Branscome, Jay Adcock (Jordan) and Alex Adcock; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Collins officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
