Winona Jean Robinson

Winona Jean Shelton Robinson, age 56, of 401 Fifth Street, Iron Gate, Virginia died on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Jean was born on March 31, 1970 to the late Grat Clinton Shelton and Ella Faye Vandyke Shelton. She was a store clerk for McDonalds and Taco Bell and a member of Jackson Memorial Church in Iron Gate. She loved all children and dogs, but especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry L. Tingler; her mother-in-law, Kathleen Godfrey Robinson; a brother-in-law, Troy Daniel Robinson; a niece, Ashley Dunbar and her husband, Brian; and nephew, Tyler Nicely.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Eugene Robinson of Iron Gate; her father-in-law, Lloyd Ray Robinson, Sr. of Clifton Forge; five brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; and a number of great nieces and great nephews.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held privately at a later date.
