Xavian James Mccorvey-Sagoes

Xavian James McCorvey-Sagoes, 21, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. He was born March 1, 2003, to Valerie Renee McCorvey Dickerson and Willie James Sagoes, Jr.He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willie James Sagoes; and great-grandparents, Helen Tucker McCorvey and Charles Harry McCorvey.Xavian was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Virginia. He loved to fish and skateboard in his free time. Xavian had a loving soul and everything about him was family. He loved his children dearly and had a huge giving heart and loved hard. If he saw you needing help, he helped you with no question. He had a very special relationship with his mother, Valerie and his stepmother, Jalisa, they all loved to joke and carry on with each other. Xavian could make you laugh and keep you laughing.He is survived by his mother, Valerie Dickerson (Jalisa); father, Willie Sagoes, Jr. (Amanda); fiancé, Hailee Langhorne; daughter, Melody Mouzon; sons, Isaiah James McCorvey-Sagoes and Josiah Langhorne; sister, MyKalah Saunders; brothers, Elijah Saunders and Greyson Sagoes; paternal grandmother, Tammy Reaves; maternal grandparents, Michele and Gary Thompson and Katherine Evans “Grandma Kat”; and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.The funeral will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jammie Redd officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
