Eddie Johnson "Bunk" Overstreet

Eddie “Bunk” Johnson Overstreet, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born November 14, 1928 to the late Albert “Gordon” Overstreet and Mary Dooley Overstreet. Bunk was also predeceased by his 14 siblings and two sons, Eddie “Buddy” Johnson Overstreet, Jr. and William “Billy’ Howard Overstreet.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Maxey Overstreet, and his two children, Donna (Donnie) Dillon and Terry Overstreet. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kellie (Brian) Stevens, Courtney (Jerry) Long, Kelcie (Zach) Zimmerman, Aimee Ray, and Daniel Ray, and his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan and Brady Stevens, Tyler Long, and Keegan, Bryson, and Owen Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
