Johnny L. Carter

Johnny L. Carter, 78, of Bedford went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 7, 2021. He was born in Bedford, VA on October 30, 1942, a son of the late James Morris Carter and Geneva Wilkes Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy L. Carter. Johnny was retired from Rubatex and was an avid Nascar fan. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He was a devoted father and grandfather and will be missed. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Carter and Larry Flournoy; son, Timothy Carter and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Emily Cook and husband, Petie, Dakota Carter and Lisa Coffey, Tiffany Wood; sister, Linda Goad and husband, Freddie; and many other family members whom he loved.
