Betty Burleson Fleming

Betty Burleson Fleming, 71, of Vinton Virginia went home to her Heavenly father on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Juanita and Clayton Burleson, siblings; Earnest Burleson; Kenneth Burleson; and Diane Sutphin.

Left to cherish her memory include her caregiver and son Jerry Fleming II, ex-husband and friend Jerry Fleming, brother John Burleson and (Melba), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Betty was a true lady of faith and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. Betty was born with Polio but never let it stop her from living her fullest life on her terms. She shared her faith and her testimony while singing and playing the piano with her family gospel group The Living Stones. Praise God she now has two new strong legs and a new body today rejoicing with her Lord and savior.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their loving care of Betty, especially the nurses, Veronica, and Randi they are like family to us. The family would also like to thank her church family, Pastor Barry Witt, and her friends for their prayers and visits during her recent illness.
