Carol Keith
Carol Diane(Flowers) Keith, age 77, loving mother of three, passed away in the evening hours at her home on Jeters Chapel Mountain on the 5th of June after a courageous battle with alzheimers and dementia. She was the Widow of Tony Carson Keith, they shared 52 years of marriage. Carol was born June 23, 1946, in Roanoke Virginia. She was the daughter of Woodrow & Margaret Flowers and grew up surrounded by her large family, she had 5 other siblings, Sister Doris June Ritter & Charles, sister Shirley Wingfield & Ed, brother Clayton Flowers & Charlotte, brother Roger Flowers & Nancy and brother Lowell Flowers & Peggy. Carol was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She meet her husband Tony Keith while in high school and they fell in love instantly and knew they both shared a love for family and decided to start their own. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. Carol was a grandmother and she was absolutely thrilled about her family growing even bigger. She was a long term member of the Barnhardt Baptist Church in Stewartsville and In her free time, Carol loved to paint, take photos at her home and church, working in the garden and going places with her family. She believed it was very important to stay active. She will be greatly missed by her family and especially three children Tonya, Tony II and Loleta. Who adore her with all their heart.
Carol is survived by daughter, Tonya Keith Meier and Billy, son, Tony Carson Keith II and Michele and daughter Loleta Keith. 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
We know that we can’t have you but we’re happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 10, 2024 at Lotz Vinton Chapel from 12 noon till 2:00 p.m.. A funeral service will be held at 2;00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Harvey officiating. Burial will be Jeters Chapel Church Cemetery there will be a potluck supper to follow at the Church reception hall.
