Florence "Tossie" Howell Carrell

Florence “Tossie” Howell Carrell, 92, of Vinton died Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Howell and Rosie Cawley Howell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Randle Sidney Carrell.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary C. Carrell (Vicky) and Richard J. Carrell (Colleen); four grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 20, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at Lotz Funeral Home, 305 E. Washington Ave. Vinton. A celebration of Tossie’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton with Reverend Luz Lecour officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery-Vinton.
