Joseph Creech

Joseph W. Creech Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2022. He retired from the City of Norfolk as a Draftsman after 32 years. Joe loved serving the Lord and did so in the field of music. He was a music director in many different churches for approximately for 70 years. He was predeceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. Creech Sr. and Nola Moore Creech; sister, Elizabeth Goodfellow; brother, Gary Creech.Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty Creech; sons, Jeff Creech (Terri), Tim Creech (Martha); step-daughter, Anne Brooks (Eddie); grandsons, Brandon “BJ” Creech (Katie) and Troy Creech;step-granddaughter, Emily Phillips (Wayne); one great-grandson and 5 step-great grandchildren. Special thanks to Legacy Hospice and his caregiver, Shenna Wright.The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 30, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church. There will be a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor David McNeill officiating. The burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Missions fund at New Hope Baptist Church, 2315 Blue Ridge Blvd., Roanoke, VA. 24012
