Sarah Runella Flowers Smith, 85, of Jeters Mill Road, passed away on May 29,2026.

There was nothing in this world that Sarah loved more than her family.

She is survived by her son, Ashford Smith Jr. (Donita), daughter in law, Tamala Smith; grandchildren, Crystal Smith, Ashford Smith III, Catherine Weisner, Michael Weisner; great grandchildren, Ambrosia, Abigail, Lillyanna; siblings, Donald Flowers (Esther), James Flowers (Betty) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton, Monday, June 1, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, June 2,2026 at Lotz Vinton Chapel with Pastor Melissa Kessler officiating. Burial will be at Jeters Chapel following the service.
