Tammy Lynn Carter

Tammy Lynn Carter, of Vinton, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Carter and Sarah Meador; and her grandparents, Ishmael and Lucille Williamson, and Amos and Ethel Carter.

Tammy had many passions in life like working retail because it allowed her to serve and befriend her customers. She also loved dragon flies, making jewelry, eating at Olive Garden and the thrill of the hunt while thrifting.

Those left to cherish Tammy’s memories are, her son, Jimmy Karnes; siblings, Carol and Jeff Carter; other friends and family, Robin Kellam, Kathie Davenport, Charles Davenport, Becky Spence and Mackenzie Severs; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved furbabies, Chase and Jax.

A life celebration will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1038 Annie Court, Vinton, Va 24179.
